4th Annual Artisan's Market - Food, Drinks, Demos, Tours

Portland is home to several amazing things, not the least of which is its culinary scene. Battered by COVID, which forced many food-related businesses to close, several great brands and businesses have continued to build, and in some cases invent. Coming up on June Xx, these innovators will be celebrated at the 4th Annual Artisans Marketplace. To be held at the STEELPORT Knife Co. factory at 3602 NE Sandy Blvd., this Saturday, June 8th event will run from 12 noon to 3 p.m. and feature a selection of some of the best traditional and emerging PNW brands in a casual and accessible setting. While still quite small by most event standards, the opportunity for farm-to-table samples and getting to know the artists behind the scenes is still firmly in the mix. Plus, the event is all ages and free for entry.

Bringing together over a dozen of Oregon's premier maker brands including Ken's Artisan Bakery, Filson, Danner Boots, pFriem Family Brewers, The Joinery, FINEX, Westward, and Powell's Books, this pop-up market is a testament to the diverse and vibrant culture of the region. The host, STEELPORT Knife Co., who will also be exhibiting, is again offering free factory tours and custom engraving on any of their knife sheaths. The leader in American-forged, handcrafted kitchen knives, the energy STEELPORT puts into this annual Father’s Day artisan market shows their commitment to the local community. Thanks STEELPORT!

Here’s a pic of last year’s Pre-Father’s Day Artisan Market, just as it kicked off. As noted, the pop-up event is only three hours long, so the window is narrow but entirely worth it. Food and drink samples, factory tours, and more make this event a winner. Image: STEELPORT Knife Co.

A view inside the STEELPORT Knife Co. factory at last year’s event. Not just a place for transactions, the market enables attendees to immerse themselves in the local artisan scene. Featuring farm-to-table samples, demos, and factory tours, the market presents a unique chance to engage with the artisans, understand their crafts, and discover the stories behind their products. From Pfriem to the Flavor Society, there has been  a great selection of food and drink samples to be had at the Pre-Father’s Day Artisan Market. Enjoy! Image: STEELPORT Knife Co.

The artisan’s market offers a little something for everyone. The kids will enjoy the demos as much as the adults, and the food and drink samples, while more refined, are a window into some of the best of the Northwest. Overall, the 4th Annual Pre-Father's Day Artisan Market stands out as a fantastic celebration for food enthusiasts and kitchen aficionados, as well as anyone who appreciates authentic local craftsmanship. It also presents an ideal opportunity to find the perfect gift for Dad.
