A Truly Virtuous Pizza Pie
If you've followed this blog since its inception, well, you know I like to write about food. After all, we do live in one of the world's "food Meccas" where fresh, sustainable ingredients collide with unbridled creativity and passion. That said, I've found another gem in the not so rough. And with so many incredible options out there, well, it means something to stand out. Enter Virtuous Pie. This is no standard pizza and ice cream joint. In fact, I'm not even Vegan, but I can downright appreciate what's being served up at this fine new caldron of cookery. Like my last blast on Paley's Place, Virtuous Pie deserves real attention.
Hailing from two locations in Vancouver, B.C. and one in Toronto, Virtuous Pie's now fourth and first U.S. location (lucky Portland!) is astounding in taste and is entirely "plant-based." Vegans rejoice! Direct from their website, here's their stated vision:
[su_quote]Virtuous Pie is all about creating food that tastes great, is good for your body and supports a healthy planet.
Our mission is to accelerate the adoption of a plant-based diet by providing delicious, affordable, and fast plant-based food options in an inclusive environment. We’re out to create positive change in the world—one slice (or scoop!) at a time.[/su_quote]
